Patterned glass is part of the decorative glass used to create artistic glass. Characterised by its typical translucent aspect, patterned glass is used to create sliding doors or hinged doors, for dividing walls in fixed or mobile glass, particularly decorative doors and French doors, and for railings, canopies, table tops and coffee table tops, furniture and shelves, sideboard cabinets and much more.

Coloured or transparent, patterned glass is obtained through a special process of laminating hot glass ribbon sandwiched between two metal cylinders. This process allows different types of designs to be imprinted onto the glass sheets, which allow light to pass through but prevent a clear view of what is happening on the other side of the glass. The effect of patterned glass varies depending upon the design, which can provide gloss or opacity at different points of the sheet.
