In order to create glass that is frosted on two sides, it is possible to use the technique of sand-blasting, or the technique of corrosion with hydrochloric acid. In the former case, jets of silica sand are directed onto both sides of the glass, varying the time in position depending upon the desired level of abrasion; in the latter case, on the other hand, the sheet of glass is immersed into an acid solution able to corrode the surface of the glass for a time that varies based upon the type of desired effect.

As for the case of one-sided frosted glass, glass which is frosted (or etched) on both sides also allows for the creation of different structural and furniture elements: glass surfaces for tables or coffee tables, dressers, sliding or hinged doors, dividing walls, bookcases, shelves, railings and much more.
