Vetreria Re contributed to the enhancement of Castello di Vicarello, a historic residence and luxury resort immersed in the Tuscan landscape. This project represented a fascinating challenge: blending the imposing ancient stone architecture with contemporary glass elements, creating spaces that offer maximum comfort and an uninterrupted visual connection with the surrounding nature. Our intervention focused on the realization of highly engineered glass structures, designed to integrate with delicacy and strength into the historical context.

The most impactful element is the creation of a striking fully glazed veranda or winter garden, annexed to the castle’s stone structure. This space is a demonstration of our expertise in structural glazing.

Beyond the main veranda, we supplied glass solutions to ensure safety and maximum visibility throughout the complex:

Parapets and Balustrades: Laminated and tempered glass railings were installed on terraces and passageways. These parapets offer total safety without interrupting the view, enhancing the beauty of the outdoors.

Technical Details: Our solutions guarantee perfect weather resistance and durability over time, essential for an exposed structure like this. Millimetric precision in joints and high-quality materials are crucial for structural safety.

We used large panels of safety glass, supported by a robust dark metal framework. The choice of glass maximizes transparency, while the minimal profiles maintain an elegant and non-invasive aesthetic.
