Vetreria Re specializes in the design, production, sale, and installation of safety glass, insulating glass, structural glass, and flat glass for furnishings. From anti-shatter and bulletproof glass to double and triple glazing, low-emissivity magnetron-coated glass, arrised and reflective glass, tempered glass, and artistic glass—including U-Glass for self-supporting walls—there is no field in the glass industry where we have not achieved excellence.

Vetreria Re: 360° Glass Processing for Over 20 Years

Operating for over 20 years, Vetreria Re performs custom glass and crystal processing, offering artistic glazing decorated with lead cames, enameling, or gold leaf, as well as glass frosted on one or both sides or laminated with fabric. We manufacture and install custom shower enclosures, crystal tabletops, and various decorative solutions using flat and curved structural glass.

Beyond residential applications, our range of structural glass is designed for shops, public spaces, and offices, offering the possibility of creating storefronts with anti-vandal and bulletproof glass. Our industrial offering also includes fire-resistant and fire-rated glazing, acoustic glass, and glass for automatic doors.

The Arrising Technique

The arrising of glass is a process similar to grinding that removes micro-cracks on the edge of the sheet, which could otherwise cause breakage due to thermal shock. In addition to being more durable, arrised glass is easier to transport and install since it lacks sharp, dangerous edges. To ensure maximum safety, Vetreria Re performs arrising on all reflective glass.

Reflective glass stands out for its ability to keep the total solar energy that penetrates a building low. It can absorb or reflect most of the thermal energy that hits its outer surface, preventing overheating. Arrised reflective glass is an efficient alternative to standard insulating glass or double glazing for ensuring effective thermal insulation.

Manufactured using magnetron or pyrolytic coatings, these panels provide protection from solar heat and prying eyes without limiting interior brightness. Also known as solar control glass, they reflect sunlight while ensuring privacy and heat protection.

The Aesthetic and Functional Advantages of Reflective Glass

Depending on the coating thickness, reflective glass can have different tones and degrees of solar protection. Particularly suitable for office buildings and schools, it allows interiors to be illuminated without excessive heating. Overall, arrised reflective glass can reflect approximately 50% of the total energy that hits it.

Reflected visible light creates a characteristic mirror effect, making it impossible to see inside from the outside during the day. Conversely, during evening hours when the interior is brighter than the exterior, the mirror effect reverses. For this reason, these panels are most suitable for workplaces or environments used primarily during daylight hours. To perfect the application at night, custom systems or internal blinds can be integrated.
