Why choose one over the other, and which environments require the specific protection of <b data-path-to-node=\"0\" data-index-in-node=\"425\">REI fire-rated windows<\/b>?<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"1,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">RE Fire-Resistant Glass (Class E):<\/b> In the event of a fire, RE glass maintains its mechanical stability (<b data-path-to-node=\"1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"104\">R<\/b>) and acts as a barrier against flames and hot gases (<b data-path-to-node=\"1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"159\">E<\/b>). The duration of resistance is indicated in minutes (15, 30, 60, 90, 120, or 180). This represents the highest level of fire protection for <b data-path-to-node=\"1,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"348\">glass partitions, fire doors, and window frames<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\"><b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">REI fire-rated glazing<\/b> combines the flame-blocking capabilities of RE glass with superior thermal insulation. This maximizes safety during evacuation by preventing burns from radiant heat. Furthermore, the insulation protects against &#8220;auto-ignition&#8221;\u2014the spontaneous combustion of flammable items in neighboring rooms caused by extreme thermal energy transfer.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">As previously mentioned, fire resistance for both RE and REI units is specified by a numerical value (15 to 180 minutes) based on laboratory testing.
