Sandblasting is ideal for creating relief decorations and contrasts between smooth and opaque surfaces on even large-scale glazings: it is sufficient to direct the jet of silica sand onto the points where the decoration is desired to obtain a contrast between smooth and frosted, also creating engravings of varying depths. The sandblasting method therefore allows for the creation of relief designs as well as frosted glass surfaces.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">The micro-milling engraving technique is instead the one that allows for smaller and more precise designs, but it requires great experience, a steady hand, precision, and control over the tool. Not particularly suitable for frosting large surfaces, engraving with wheels and micro-cutters is instead perfect for creating particularly complex decorations and thin lines on one or both sides of the glass, ensuring a high-quality technical <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"438\">finish<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">The acid etching method also allows for the creation of decorations on frosted glass: it is sufficient to prepare a stencil that reproduces the design to be transferred onto the glass surface and then cover it with the acidic solution in a gelatinous state.
