However, for them to constitute a truly effective barrier against heat dispersion, even the most modern fixture models must utilize double glazing capable of acting as a screen against noise, cold, and heat, ensuring a high-quality <b data-path-to-node=\"1\" data-index-in-node=\"530\">finish<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">Fixtures and double glazing represent a beneficial investment capable of ensuring energy savings at home and in the workplace. Replacing old fixtures is even more convenient if one can take advantage of government tax incentives aimed at favoring architectural redevelopment and the energy self-sufficiency of buildings. New generation fixtures, when paired with appropriate double glazing (or insulated glass units), contribute to reducing the use of climate control systems, benefiting the community by reducing pollution and increasing residential <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"551\">comfort<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"re-acc\">\n<summary>Peculiar Characteristics of Double Glazing<\/summary>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">The characteristics of the fixtures and the glass applied to them are very important for the quality of life in different environments. The airtightness and moisture resistance of fixtures are as important as the penetration capacity of solar rays, which provides essential lighting but also contributes to raising the room&#8217;s temperature. The ability of the glass to let light inside corresponds to the so-called light transmission (LT), whose optimal value is around 80%; the amount of solar energy that passes through the glass is indicated by the solar factor (SF), which should be approximately 40%.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"re-acc\">\n<summary>How is Double Glazing Made?<\/summary>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Let&#8217;s see together how double glazing is made. The so-called insulated glass unit (or double glazing) consists of two or more glass panes with an aluminum frame interposed between them, with a thickness varying between 6 and 15 mm. To ensure perfect adhesion of the panes, they are joined via a frame with a special glue and then pressed with a specific machine capable of creating an airtight air chamber between the two glass layers. To seal it permanently, a two-component substance is applied around the glass to increase the thermal and acoustic insulation of the fixtures.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">To further increase the thermal insulation values of the insulated glass unit, it is sufficient to replace the air between the two panes with noble gases such as argon or krypton, which have a lower thermal exchange coefficient than air. Furthermore, thermal insulation can be improved by using stainless steel covered with a plastic film instead of aluminum for the support frame.
