Sand-blasted mirrors are sophisticated furniture accessories subjected to the process of sand-blasting, i.e. abrasion of the shiny surface of the mirror through jets of silica sand that are able to etch and tarnish the surface. The process of sand-blasting mirrors is similar to that which is applied to panes of glass: depending upon the direction given to the jet of sand, it is possible to create elegant designs on the surface of the mirror, or to make it uniformly opaque.

Sand-blasted mirrors, like all mirrors produced by Vetreria Re, undergo operations of edge deletion and lamination which make them resistant and safe even in the event of breakage.
