Toughened glass, also known as tempered glass, is obtained through a special heat treatment process (tempering) which toughens the piece, previously manufactured and cut to the required dimensions. The processing of toughened or tempered glass makes it particularly resistant, as any surface defects in the glass are compressed by mechanical stresses, and the inner part remains more protected: in this way, it is practically impossible for defects and cracks to form that might lead the glass itself to break.

Vetreria Re has worked for over 20 years in designing and producing safety glass for civil or industrial use, suitable for the manufacture of windows, railings, street furniture, shower cabinets, full-length windows, museum display cases, flooring and much more. With a range that includes tempered, laminated, bulletproof, layered, accident-prevention, shatterproof and anti-intrusion glass.
